An important message from Walk Co-chair Lauren Handleman:

This year DOORS will return to the beautiful Rutgers Gardens to continue to walk to not only remember and honor my father, but to continue in keeping his dreams alive! As you know my father, Dr. Jan Handleman, passed away in April 2008. The board of Directors, members and friends of DOORS and colleagues at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center will never forget what he did for all of the children and families at the center. I understand that this is a hard economic time for so many of us, but we need to come together to remember, celebrate and raise funds, as autism doesn’t know we are in a recession!
