Honoring the legacy of
Dr. Handleman

In 1990 DOORS was founded by a group of parents at the suggestion of Dr. Jan Handleman. The initial impetus was to build a bridge for those "aging out" of the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center. Today DOORS continues support to that bridge by providing respite services to families along the long road to that bridge and over that bridge through the lifespan of children and adults with Autism.
